Position: Local Administration Secretary

Department: Office Support

Reports to: Local Administration/ Front Office Manager

 

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma (minimum)
  • Two years prior school experience preferred.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand work-related directions and instructions with sufficient skills to perform effectively.
  • Must be able to work unsupervised, be a self-starter, well-organized, and be able to multitask.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace apps: Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, etc.
  • Ability to be flexible in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Must possess and maintain valid Pennsylvania school clearances.

Job Overview: The Secretary in this role assists the local administration by maintaining efficient administrative operations within the school. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: managing communication, organizing schedules, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the school's daily activities.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Secretary to Principals to which duties may include:
    • Type and file correspondence;
    • Schedule appointments and handle telephone calls;
    • Preparation of meeting agendas;
    • Monitor lesson plan submission;
    • Assist elementary students with morning announcements
  • Back up for front desk receptionist to include answering incoming telephone calls and inquiries and assisting visitors
  • Secretarial work as assigned by the local adminstration
  • Other tasks may be assigned by the Principals, Executive Assistant, Front Office Manager, and CEO.

Professional Obligations:

  1. Enforce administration policies and rules governing students.
  2. Collaborate with other teachers and administrators in developing, evaluating, and revising school programs.
  3. Prepare reports on students and activities as required by the administration.
  4. Attend staff meetings, and have the opportunity to serve on committees.
  5. Adhere to Professional Standard of Conduct, including confidentiality, code of ethics, and appropriate internet use, as outlined in the Policy and Procedures manual and Staff Handbook.
  6. Follow all approved board of trustee policies, including Financial and Purchasing and Attendance.
  7. Perform all additional related duties and responsibilities as designated by the Local Administration, CEO, or Network Team.

Terms of Employment:  Twelve (12) months. Contract terms and salary to be determined by the Board of Trustees.
